Did you just gasp when you saw this photo? Tell me that isn't the cutest car mat you've ever seen. I dare you.

I got the inspiration from one of my favorite crafty peeps, The Crafty Chica. She posted this DIY, and my wheels started spinning (punny). My mom sourced clear car mats (to make a set for herself) and found the cheapest at Walmart for $7.77. She bought four sets and gave me two.

Then I heard that The Crafty Chica was launching a new line of craft materials at Michael's and needed bloggers to try them out. Um, yes please. I received the Juicy Fabric Inks but wanted to do more than just write on fabric with a marker. (I'm not the best at drawing.) Since they said 'ink' right there on the tubes, I colored a lips stamp with the marker, then applied it to fabric. Perfect lips! It also worked on paper and felt. Let the collaging begin!

Once I had a collage in the shape of the mat complete, I taped it down with packing tape on the back to keep in place. Next, I placed a second car mat over the top (pokey things down) and sealed the edges with Seal-All. I intended on duct taping around the ages, but the sealer dried clear, and it looks pretty awesome just the way it is. It was so easy and makes a huge impact in my all-black car. Can you say 'Christmas presents'? How about one for every season? Your favorite sports team? A photo collage?

How would you decorate your car mats?
